A decision has been taken to postpone the scheduled report to Council on sport, leisure and cultural facilities and services, originally planned for this month’s Council meeting.
Instead, a special meeting of Council will be held on Thursday 20 November where this report will be discussed as a standalone item. The report and its appendices will be published on the Council website on Thursday 13 November. This webpage will also include a link to watch the Council meeting online, or review the recording afterwards.
The ongoing work to analyse all the feedback captured through the extensive consultation and engagement exercise and assess the many options is proceeding at pace, and it was agreed that taking the report to Council in October would leave little opportunity for thorough member engagement on proposals ahead of that meeting.
A report will still be brought to the October Council meeting, setting out the work undertaken to date and providing an update on the SBC and Live Borders Joint Transformational Change Programme. This report will be published on the Council website on Thursday 23 October and will also include a link to watch the Council meeting online on Wednesday 29 October, or review the recording afterwards.
