Weekly & Regular Events

50+ Scrabble Time — Every Monday — 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM — Hawick Library — Suitable for all abilities. Registration not required. Free to attend. Keep up to date via the Live Borders website: liveborders.org.uk

Food Share / Fare Share Food Bank — Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday — 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM — Burnfoot Community Hub Food Share Shed — Contents of your bag will vary and are dependent on donations received.

Tuseday Morning Coffe Morning — Every Tuesday — 10:45 AM to 12:30 PM — Ashkirk Village Hall — £3.00 donation towards the running costs of the hall. Everyone welcome.

Book Bug — Every Tuesday — Baby Session (0–1 year): 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM / Toddler Tuesday (1–3 years): 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM — Hawick Library — For more information contact www.liveborders.org.uk

Recovery Cafe — Every Wednesday — 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM — Evergreen Hall — Open to anyone aged 16+ in recovery from substance use or supporting someone who is. Run by people with lived experience. Support, signposting and refreshments available. www.bordersinrecovery.org

Warm Space Open Days — Every Thursday — 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM — Burnfoot Community Hub — Homemade soup, tea and coffee, support and advice services, and free children’s clothes and items. Everyone welcome.

Free Junior Tennis Sessions — Fridays and Saturdays — Wilton Park and Hawick Tennis Club — For ages 4 to 18 years. Places limited. See Events page at www.TD9radio.online for details.

Cycle Led E-Bike Rides — Sundays throughout April to September — Meet 9:45 AM for 10:00 AM start — Meet at Teri Bikes, Bridge Street, Hawick — Free led E-bike rides in and around the town. Contact: bikes@teribikes.com

One-off Events

Quiz Night — Friday 8 May 2026 — 7:30 PM — Evergreen Hall — Supporting Rotary work with local schools. £16 per team of 4. Bring your own booze. Tea and coffee available to buy. Register interest via 07774 113066.

Small Big Breakfast — Saturday 9 May 2026 — 9:00 AM until midday — Laidlaw Memorial Hall, Bonchester Bridge — Hosted by Ruberslaw Country Parishes. Breakfast rolls, toast and marmalade, tea and coffee. Suggested donation £7.

Hawick Sings Annual Concert — Wednesday 20 May 2026 — 7:00 PM start — Hawick Town Hall — Tickets on sale Saturday 9 May at the Angling Club from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, then at Border Video and TV from 11–19 May. £5 cash only, no concessions.

Save the Date – Colour Run! — Friday 22 May 2026 — 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM — Wilton Primary School — See Wilton Primary School social media for details.

Table Top Sale — Sunday 24 May 2026 — 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM — Bedrule Village Hall — Hosted by Parkinsons UK. Entry £1. Tea or coffee and biscuits £2.50.
