The long awaited future of Live Borders services won’t be revealed tomorrow as originally planned. Building surveys are complete, financial reviews have been signed off and consultations have taken place – all working from a starting point with an independent consultant’s recommendation for the closure of thirty buildings and the loss of fifty jobs. Internal disagreements have let to today’s staff and press breifings being cancelled and the recommendations not being published as planned tomorrow. It’s understood that the findings may not now be published until Friday evening, or over the weekend.
