Four men have been arrested and charged after a large-scale cannabis cultivation was discovered in Hawick. At around 1.40pm on Thursday, 30 July, 2026, officers executed a warrant at a premises in Dovecote Street.
More than 1,600 plants were discovered with an estimated value of at least £1.3 million.
The men, aged 45, 42, 41 and 35, were reported to the Procurator Fiscal and they appeared at Jedburgh Sheriff Court on Friday, 31 July.
Chief Inspector David Rourke said: “This was a significant recovery which demonstrates our continued commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy. We remain committed to disrupting the sale and supply of illegal drugs in our communities of Hawick.
